How to use it
- Choose your PDF. A small preview of every page appears.
- Tick the pages you want, or type them, for example
1-3, 7. - Press Save selected pages as one PDF to get a single file with just those pages, in order.
- Or press Save each page as its own PDF to get one file per page, bundled in a ZIP. If you typed a range, only those pages are split.
Common jobs
- One statement page for an application. Landlords and lenders often ask for a single month's bank statement. Extract just that month's pages instead of sending a whole year.
- Separate documents from one scan. If you scanned a passport, a lease and a payslip in one go, extract each into its own file for upload boxes that want one document each.
- Remove pages before sharing. Tick everything except the pages you want to keep private, and save the rest.
Limits
- Pages are copied exactly, so text stays selectable and quality is unchanged. File size can still be large if the original pages contain big images.
- Password-protected PDFs need the password removed first.
- Form fields and links on copied pages are kept, but links that jump to pages you didn't keep won't work.
Questions
Can I change the page order?
Pages are saved in page-number order. To combine pages in a different order, extract them separately and arrange them in Shrink a PDF, which lets you reorder files before combining.
Why a ZIP file?
Browsers handle one download much more reliably than dozens. Open the ZIP to get the individual PDFs; every computer and phone can open ZIP files.
The upload form wants each document separately. Is this the right tool?
Yes. Extract each document's pages into its own PDF, then shrink any that are over the size limit.
